Extraction of sand and gravel with a cable dredge

Dragflow was chosen by Werner Construction Inc. to supply a new dredger for the extraction of sand and gravel. Werner Construction, since 1936 has specialized in asphaltic pavements and sand and gravel extraction.

Dragflow supplied the HY400 based hydraulic system including a hydraulic power pack, operator’s cabin, winches and lifting winch. The hull was made in collaboration with a local US supplier. The fully operational system will be able to produce up to 500 tons of inert material per hour.
