DRP in action in the agri-food sector
A radio-controlled dredge DRP18 equipped with an EL35 electric pump was chosen to empty a sedimentation tank of a pig farm.
Problem
In Romania, a pig farm was faced with the problem of how to move animal slurry that was accumulated in a catch basin. The type of substance, characterized by a strong ammoniac component, made it essential to use tools that would allow working at a distance.
Solution
Dragflow has supplied a remote-controlled DRP18 with an EL35 electric pump. The reduced dimensions have allowed a very fast assembly and installation, without the need to use cranes or other expensive machinery. This solution proved to be the most suitable solution for moving thick sludge to cisterns. The collected sewage will then be used as fertilizers for the agricultural sector.
