Expansion of a commercial port with DRH

A commercial port in Georgia was to be expanded. The project also included the cleaning of the entrance channel to the port.

Problem

The customer had two primary requests: to obtain a highly adaptable dredger that can operate at depths of up to 15 meters and to have the ability to discharge materials at distances ranging from 200 to 600 meters.

Solution

The expansion of the commercial port involved two different operations: Dragflow proposed a solution consisting of the full optional DRH85/160 dredge and two HY85/160 pumps. A pump was mounted on board the dredge to work in the central area of the port, and a second pump was installed on an excavator to work simultaneously along the coast.
