Set of electric pumps for pulling a port
Dragflow pumps were the protagonists of two harbor dredging operations.
Problem
The first: dredging the container loading / unloading area in the port of Valparaiso, the largest freight terminal in Chile. The second: dredging a canal to create an area with a higher draft that allows ships to pass through.
Solution
In the port of Valpariaso a set of EL60 electric pumps were supplied which, working in series and equipped with a powerful system of high pressure jets, allowed the rapid removal of one of the most critical areas for the operation of the port. On the south coast an upgrade of the existing dredger was performed, reusing part of the pre-existing hydraulic circuit to control a HY85 hydraulic pump with EXHY20 side cutters.
